What is KAUS?

The Korean Autonomous and Unmanned Ship Forum (KAUS) is an interest group for persons or organizations so as to provide an open eco-system for autonomous and unmanned ships in Korea. KAUS is a member of INAS (International Network for Autonomous Ship) in Korea. Membership in KAUS is open to individuals and organizations established in Korea. The official language is Korean and English.

The objectives of the organization are following:

International Collaborations

KAUS is a member of INAS(International Network for Autonomous Ship) for Korea. KAUS is participating workshop/conference, seminar and forum so as to participate for the international activities related with autonomous ship development and discussion. However, all activities in KAUS are not related with the government.

For the time of beging, KAUS is closely work with NFAS (Norway Forum for Autonomous Ship, http://nfas.autonomous-ship.org).

Membership

KAUS is operated with membership for individuals and organizations. For the details of the application of the membership, please contact with leeki@kmou.ac.kr.

Contact

For the time being, the KAUS secretariat is hosted by Cyber Marine System Laboratory(Professor Kwangil Lee) at KMOU in Busan. The secretariat will be the general point of contact and will be responsible for daily operations of the interest group. This involves organizing various gatherings and meetings and facilitating workshops.
